It seems as if spring is beginning to put in an appearance which puts us in mind of warm weather and being outside. It also starts people thinking about summer and planning their vacations. Vacation time, although a much needed break from work to rejuvenate the spirit, can also be a time of stress to an employer as the work still needs to get done. Then, on top of that, we are now facing the roll out of HST. Regions that have introduced a value-added tax (like the HST) see increases in productivity and investments. Experience - Main focus is corporate tax but has incorporated other aspects as reviewing, analyzing and verifying the financial statements provided. This candidate has long term public practice experience at a senior level dealing with US Income tax and analysis. This candidate understanding the client industry, its financial position and business activities conducted during the relevant tax year. The preparation of the returns involves understanding, analyzing and verifying the financial information (audited /unaudited financial statements and trial balance).

Duties also include: preparation of tax returns and requires fully understanding and applying financial accounting concepts, reviewing, analyzing and verifying financial information provided by the clients.

Personality - This candidate presents very well. She is personable, likes working public practice and as a CGA she would love to grow within another industry environment, growing long term with the organization. Comes across very mature and loyal

Candidate B: Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller Salary - $65k/yr

Available immediately * Permanent or Contract positions

Available for - the Frasier Valley (Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Surrey, Langley) or Downtown

Education - CGA and Bachelors Degree

Experience - Full Cycle Accounting, Year End Audit, Adjustments, Preparation of Statements/ GL - then controller and CFO sign off, Consolidations, inter-company eliminations and transactions, public company reporting. The current company had been audited every year and 3 month reviews.

Personality - Easy going, good sense of humour, Works well with everyone, presents well, quite personable. This candidate is fantastic. He has a great personality, loyal, hardworking and excellent work experience

Reason For Leaving - This candidate is leaving his current position as they are looking at winding down operations. He has five years public company experience.

Candidate C: Payroll and Benefits Manager Salary - $65K - $75K/yr
