Are Your Employees Engaged in Their Work?
January 22nd, 2010
Having a happy employee doesn’t necessarily mean that you have an engaged employee, after all an employee can be perfectly happy doing nothing. According to a recent survey (Gallup, 2006) less than 30% of employees are actively engaged in their jobs. Employees who are disengaged can present problems to their employers that are twofold. Not only are they just putting in time and sleepwalking through their day, they are also projecting their unhappiness through negative actions or comments, thereby undermining the accomplishments of their engaged coworkers. During the process he significantly enhanced and streamlined the period-end data loading process. Previous employers have given him a 10/10 on his technical computer skills, and also say that his skill level is well above average compared to others in similar roles. Assessment results: Excel 92%; Advanced Accounting 88%.
This designated CGA was responsible for financial statement preparation in his last role, including foreign exchange transactions and consolidation.
