With so many resume submissions, the task of reviewing them becomes tiresome. Hiring managers can only spend a few seconds on each one. Your resume needs to stand out so that an employer will spend more than a minute on it. How can you do that?
- Describe your skills upfront.
- Italicize key words.
- Avoid employment gaps.
- Explain a short stay.
- Describe key accomplishments for each position.
- Avoid copy and paste for similar positions.
The question that you need to ask is “does my resume sell me?”
