These are our superstars of the week! - All references, testing and personality assessments have been complete. These candidates are excellent.
First Candidate - Senior / Project accountant
Ideal Location - Abbotsford - Langley - Mission - Chilliwack
4th level CGA candidate. She loves a challenge and wants a position where she can assist with improving operations, cutting costs and increase revenue. Her experience consists of:
- Full cycle accounting - Year End Financials - Monitoring AR and AP.
- Consolidations
- Payroll ( Up to 225 employees / unionized)
- Contract Analysis
- Job Costing
Plus extensive systems experience including Timberline, Conic, Simply Accounting, Accpac - Full Modules, Excel - Advanced, Quick Books, MYOB, ADP and Access.
Second Candidate - Intermediate Accountant.
Ideal Location - Surrey / Delta
PACE level CGA. Needs more accounting in order to fulfil her CGA requirements. Also has a Bachelor of Commerce - Accounting and Finance.
- Fluent in working with spreadsheets, Sage AccPac, and Microsoft Office Software
- Processing payroll timesheets for thirty employees
- Electronic funds transfers for payroll and visa statements
- Preparing record of employments, calculating medical payroll deductions for employees, administrating benefits plan
- Handling accounts payable processing, inquiries, and cheque runs
- Preparing expense reports and allocating expenses
- Account reconciliations, journal entries, job costing
- Trained in accounts receivable functions - processing invoices, applying cash receipts, processing customer payments
- Accruals, intercompany transactions, general ledger entries
Third Candidate - CMA with over 10 years experience.
Ideal Location - Surrey and surrounding
Flexible to Full time or Part time positions.
She currently works a part time position and is looking for a new challenge. This candidate was responsible for financial statements, budgeting and supervising accounting staff. She also has consolidated reporting, financial analysis and payroll.
Industry experience includes:

Fourth Candidate - CGA - Senior Accountant
Ideal Location - Surrey and surrounding
Excellent Candidate - You get a lot of positive energy from her and is a breath of fresh air! I haven’t interviewed a candidate like this for a long time.
She has quite a few years experience in a Senior role - full cycle accounting, consolidations, supervising etc. She is well rounded as she also assists with administration, human resource, payroll along with her daily accounting duties. She has worked in fast pace environments, with strict deadlines and reporting on a consolidated basis as well as budgeting and reporting.
Intensive knowledge of accounting software , strong accounting skills and supervisory skills. Also has quite a bit of property management experience.
I can’t express how impressive this candidate is, her references, experience, knowledge, presentation and personality. She is our Superstar by far. She is not actively looking so she isn’t throwing her resume everywhere but has been confidentially waiting for the right permanent or long term contract.
